Larochelle is a rock, blues and folk musician from Canada. Writing and recording songs, touring and sharing his love for music, since 2007.
Larochelle is the solo musical project of Québec-born singer-songwriter William Larochelle, active for over fifteen years on the Canadian music scene. His sound blends blues, folk, and rock with a contemporary energy inspired by modern soul. From the influences of Rory Gallagher, Ben Harper, and The Tragically Hip to the more current tones of Black Pumas and The Dip, Larochelle has built an authentic, powerful, and deeply human musical identity.
Fueled by an endless passion for music, William Larochelle first stepped onto the scene with Two Green Cats, releasing two albums (Two Green Cats, 2010; Ink For a Queen, 2011) and organizing a one-month Canadian tour. With more than 300 live performances under his belt, he has carved out a reputation as an independent artist able to create his own opportunities.
In 2012, he embarked on a solo journey with Giant, before co-founding Mama Oak, whose album Hem and Haw (2018) showcased a powerful rock sound carried by close collaborators. In parallel, he also developed the project Twin Moggies, releasing the Ride EP in 2025, further confirming his ambition to explore different shades of contemporary rock.
It is under the name Larochelle that he has fully embraced his artistic vision, merging blues and folk roots with more personal and introspective songwriting. His songs tackle timely and sensitive themes—social issues, mental health, and interpersonal relationships—always delivered with sincerity and a strong connection to his audience.
His discography reflects this evolution: Surrounded (2019), Roshambo (2022), Break Even (2024), followed by the Deux series (2025–2026), revisiting past archives with fresh interpretations — Deux I, Deux II, Deux III, Deux IV, and finally Deux V, released May 1st, 2026, closing the series.
Today, Larochelle is preparing a solo tour and a new soul-inspired EP, drawing from vocal strength and groove.

Larochelle est un musicien canadien de rock, blues et folk. Il écrit et enregistre des chansons, part en tournée et partage sa passion pour la musique depuis 2007.
Larochelle est le projet solo de l'auteur-compositeur-interprète québécois William Larochelle, actif depuis plus de quinze ans sur la scène musicale canadienne. Son univers sonore mêle blues, folk et rock à une énergie contemporaine inspirée de la soul moderne. Des influences de Rory Gallagher, Ben Harper et The Tragically Hip jusqu'aux sonorités plus actuelles de Black Pumas et The Dip, Larochelle a façonné une identité musicale authentique, puissante et profondément humaine.
